Volunteer of the Month: Dorothy Terry

Dorothy began volunteering with Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity in January 2010. She heard about work from a long-time volunteer who lives near her in Monterey, Virginia which is about an hour drive from Franklin. Dot, as we know her, first came out on a cold, damp day for our Martin Luther King, Jr. Building on a Dream workday. Since then, she has been a regular Saturday volunteer at our River Bend Gardens site helping us get the first 6 townhomes ready for our Partner Families to move in at the end of June. Most recently, she was part of our Women Build Day at River Bend Gardens where she and 18 other women installed porch trusses on the front of Building B.
