New Construction
Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity builds homes in partnership with our Partner Families, not for our Partner Families. Partner Families are not spectators on the worksite. They are required to work on their own homes and the homes of other families. We call this Sweat Equity. Our housing ministry is a hand up not a hand out.

Rehabilitation and Repair
We perform 3-4 rehabilitations and repairs per month. These projects vary from house painting, roof repair, and building handicap accessible bathrooms. The majority of these projects are for elderly or disabled families.
Community Partnerships
Being a small rural impoverished county we work closely with other non-profit organizations, civic groups, and community based service providers to meet not only the housing needs of the community, but the social needs as well. For example volunteer groups assisted in the construction of the new Head Start facility in Franklin, erected playground equipment at the town park, and constructed shelves at the local Food Pantry. Although the primary projects that volunteers work on are traditional construction, these community projects are essential to the sustainability of our community. Habitat for Humanity Builds More Than Houses It Builds Communities!
